These are our big "Balthasar" spaulders. Just the right thing for knights and other nobles. Although they are rather big and decorated, these spaulders are "ready for the field".
The spaulders are composed from seven parts and therefore very flexible in movement.

Hamond puttee canvas

Puttees have been in use from the Iron Age until the medieval times. It was "reinvented" by the military and used as regular equipment for soldiers in World War I. and in the second World War. Be it Roman legionary or french soldier: this easy to put on leg dress warmes the calfs and protects from scratches and bruises. Our "Hamond" puttees are made from robust canvas fabric. With its 380 cm length, it can be used for wrapping up to the knee - even thicker calfs should get their share of warmth. Early medieval costumes, such as germanic tribesmen or Wikings, will find a good use when strolling through the woods in cold days - it keeps dry and warm and does not only function as an accessory. Balthasar torso armour browned

The torso armour from our "Balthasar" series consists of two pieces: the chest and the back plate. Both are connected with a strap on each side and a strap on either side of the shoulders. That allows an individual adjustment for each wearer. The chest plate is made from seven seperate segments which are riveted to each other. Its moving parts underneath the arms allow a free movement and agility of the wearer. The elaboratly made back plate is rigid and decorated with lots of rivets. The lower two segments are moveable and allow a bending of the upper body. The matching big spaulders can be attached to the shoulders of the armour. Rolling shapes and segments, just as the offset bordering and the decoration with rivets, add structure and character to this great armour. We suggest to wear a padded gambeson underneath all metal armours to avoid scratches and bruises on the body. Lenora tiara cotton

The veil pictured is intended to demonstrate the function and manner of wearing the forehead band and is not included in the delivery. The "Lenora" tiara is part of a so called "Schapel" (circlet) head piece: a ring of cloth added to a basic head scarf. The combination results in the "Gebende" (wimple), a well known medieval headdress for women. Starting in the 12th century, it was unusual for married women to show their hair openly. A combination of veils and tightly bound scarfs, which were additionally bound underneath the chin, was the most common and widely used headdress. One purpose of this cloth tiara is its ornamental role; you can individually adorn this plain item with embroideries or fabric paint. Its second purpose is holding the veil or the wimple in place. The tiara itself has a circumference of approx. 56cm, but the size can be slightly adjusted by the amount of the veils and cloth worn underneath. Katharina Armor Belt

For optimal mobility of the Katharina armour and a good fit, we have separated the upper and lower parts of the torso armour. The Katharina armour belt forms the lower part of the torso and is worn beneath the breastplate. It is fastened with a wide leather strap at the back. The size of the armour belt can be adjusted individually using the strap and by carefully bending it. The tassets are attached to the four front straps, which we offer separately, as well as in a convenient set along with the armour belt. Other tassets from our 'Mytholon Artware' armours can also be combined with these armour belts, such as Lambert, Galahad, Ortwin, or Edward. All parts of this armour are naturally fluted to ensure safety for you and your fellow participants. The inner parts have been painted to protect against rust, although this paint may peel off over time. We recommend regular maintenance with oil, such as the Ballistol available from us. Laurel wreath patch

A laurel wreath is a sign of glory, victory and honour. It is often used to supplement an existing coat of arms, perhaps after a victorious battle or a fulfilled quest. This filigree patch consists of two parts, so the width and circumference of the wreath can be adjusted to your liking. For technical reasons, not all leaves are cut out. However, this can easily be remedied with a scalpel before sewing. This patch is ideally suited to be affixed to shields, tabards or banners. Anna skirt brown

Initially the skirt was a piece of clothing for both: men and women alike. It was made with sleeves and was worn as everyday clothing in all social classes. Only later the skirt developed into the shape we know it as today. The ankle long skirt "Anna" is built with a wide, comfortable waistband. The lacing on the back can be used to adjust the skirt indivudually to the wearers body. Rough canvas provides the neccessary durability on LARP events and medieval markets.
